Exmouth is located at the northern end of the famous Ningaloo Reef on the tip of the North West Cape of Western Australia, 1,270 kilometres north of Perth.

A unique location, Exmouth is surrounded by a world-class marine park on one side, and rugged ranges on the other, this ideal setting makes Exmouth such a great place to visit. Central to exploring the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and The Cape Range National Park, Exmouth boasts the "Range to Reef" experience.

The Cape Range National Park which has some spectacular gorges is an area of 50,580 hectares and is to the west of Exmouth with the Shot Hole and Charles Knife canyons 23 kilometres to the south.

About the Ningaloo Reef

Ningaloo Reef is about 1200 kilometres north of Perth offshore from the resort towns of Exmouth and Coral Bay. The Ningaloo Marine Park stretches for some 260 kilometres, from Bundegi Reef in Exmouth Gulf around North West Cape to Amherst Point south of Coral Bay, extending some three nautical miles out to sea. Ningaloo Reef is one of the largest fringing coral reefs in the world with it's closest point within 100 metres of the shore.
